Antiques
An antique (Latin: antiquus; "old", "ancient") is an old collectable item. It is collected or desirable because of its age, beauty, rarity, condition, utility, personal emotional connection, and/or other unique features. It is an object that represents a previous era or time period in human society. It is common practice to define "antique" as applying to objects at least 100 years old. (Source Wikipedia).
Why China?
My mother was a great collector of Antiques and Collectables which I inherited. Beswick figures, China Greyhounds, furniture etc. I have these things in boxes and its time to bring them out into the light and learn more about her passion. Over the course of the next few months I'll be photographing and documenting all the pieces here on this new blog. I may ask for your help in identifying items.
